Young Forever – Simple Meditation Helps To Prevent Loss of Grey Matter

The Inevitable Facts-

The age of death in human on average has increased considerable, factually 10 years over a few past decades. Good news indeed but nothing comes absolute good, because the bad news here is, the longer you live, the more you lose your mental capabilities. The degeneration of brain cells starts from a very early age and by the time you reach your old age, brain cells loses capabilities and give rise to severe mental and neurotic problems which are annoying to most and to yourself as well. 

Meditation is the only way out to science now-

But not to worry, meditation is the only cure of this ailment. The volume and weight of the brain starts decreasing from the late twenty age barrier.A survey was conducted to see the effect of meditation of the grey matter, the tissue which preserves the neurons, the building block of nervous system. Fifty people were those who did not do meditation ever while others regularly practiced meditation. The result was, those who did not meditate, showed significant decrease of neurons which is usual in everyone while those who meditated showed fairly less degeneration.This is the power of meditation.

Previous experiments showed that meditation activates the distinct corners of brain and increases the productivity and efficiency of a person quite remarkably. But now, added to that, mediation can slow down your aging by having a profound effect on the entire brain. That’s the plight of science now. They are yet to expand and trade on unexplored region that our religion already predicted correctly many centuries back when there was no modern science.
So instead of criticizing something as not scientific, scientific and logical minded people should have respect for their religious rituals which the science will start exploring and understanding the value with time. Till then to label something as baseless, not with apparent meaning, is unscientific in my opinion. So this goes out to all the people who consider religion as unscientific and claim to think logically.
There is a popular saying these days- “Meditate because all the answers cannot be answered by Google!”

The Limitations of Modern Science-

Just as an example of how science can be in dilemma about its own laws and theories and why you should not take science until it is practical in real life, we are going to discuss a recent incident. Science, so far, has said that our Universe began with a big bang. They put forward their theory to convince everyone that this is true, but within, they themselves were confused. So as science said it, the logic and scientific people of our society won’t believe in anything at all other than big bang. I just ask you this, is it really logical to become completely blind believing something when you don’t know anything about it? You must observe and try yourself and dig deep before you present your conclusions. I am not asking anyone to belief in rituals at first place, just don’t say they are useless, rather dig deep and find the explanations behind the rituals our fore-fathers handed us over and believe me you will always find these rituals absolutely correct with scientific facts behind them. Here we are trying to provide you a few through several articles. The only reason why you should not discard rituals at first place, is the science we had centuries before, the present science is far beyond that. Cells, in some scriptures, were mentioned even before science invented microscope. Similar for the Gotra system to prevent marriage between siblings, which science later discovered. So the ancient science our saints had, is always two steps ahead of the present system. It is only a matter of time that the modern science will discovered them eventually.

Modern Science Is Yet To Catch Up With Ancient Science-

Anyways, so now instead of big bang they have put forward a new theory that Universe was never created, in contradiction to their past claim the Universe began with a big bang. Now they are saying that in big bang, none of the science laws and equation hold. So according to quantum equation, big bang never occurred and so Universe has no beginning. But again this is just a theory. All I can say is science is yet to grow and with advancement many such theories on Universe and its creation will continue.

How To Meditate?
Preparation:
First thing first, Clean your outer self before you can clean your inner self. So take a bath before meditation, if not possible, at least wash your face, hand and feet.A feeling of freshness must be felt at inception.
Posture:
Next, make a separate place for your meditation which is void of all disturbances.Take a seat over mat or ashana as direct contact with ground can discharge the energy gained during meditation. You need to sit comfortably and relaxed manner by finding the most apt posture for yourself.Always keep your head and spine erect. Then you need to let go all your tension and thought and distraction and sit quietly for a few minutes so that everything in your mind subsides.Once you reach a stage where no thought is disturbing you,a certain calmness and profoundness is felt.
Prayer:
Next,it is time for a quick prayer in our mind through our own language.It must give rise to compassion and gratitude as we pray to God for greater good of Human kind and thank Earth for letting us to reside peacefully.This must be heart-felt as it widens your graze and you start rising above daily bond and commotion.
Rhythmic Breath:
Next,after the prayer is done,try and grasp the whole world into you as if you are the creation itself.You will find your heart beat has calmed down considerably and you breathing has prolonged.Now make your breathing pattern follow your heart and stretch it naturally as much as you can.
Travelling:
Now, it is time for mental travelling.Roam all over your body using your mind and inward eye.Pay attention of all joints and nerve ending point.You will a chilly wave through your spine as the energy centre activates as you travel.But make sure you don’t lose the pattern of your breath and heartbeat.

Focus:
Once the pattern of breath is established for considerably amount for time,bring your focus at the tip of your nose and keep your concentration there for a long while along with the pattern of breath and heartbeat already achieved.After a stable concentration is achieve at the tip of the nose,slowly the focus should be shifted to the point between two eye brows.This is a little harder to do but regular practice gives the targeted result.
Advance:
For regular and a little advanced practitioners, you can also chant “OM” sound in harmony with your breathing pattern.This will activate your chakras over a long run.You will have greater understanding of your life events and experience a separation between your mind and body.

Finishing:
While you are about to finish your meditation,don’t end abruptly.Rather bring your concentration from the cosmic world to the point between eyebrows.Feel your heart and breath rhythmically.It is the undoing process.Then sit silently for a few minutes and relax your muscles and become aware of the outside world.Then bring your cupped palms on your eyes and slowly open your eyes and enjoy the changes through the day.
Don’ts:
  • Don’t try harder. Everything has to come natural.
  • Don’t become impatient,result will come eventually.Have faith.
  • Don’t breath in abnormal pattern, as it might cause health concerns.
I only add one suggestion, fall in love with meditation and do it daily for fun.
