Siddhivinayak Temple (Mumbai, Maharashtra)
It is the most popular Ganesh Temple not only in Maharashtra but all over India. Moreover, it is the India’s richest temple and a must tourist visit place in Mumbai during a tour and even on Ganesh Chaturthi. It was originally built in 1801 by Deubai Patil and Laxman Vithu. This temple has a small hall where the Lord Ganesha shrine stands with wooden doors carved with Ashtavinayak images in the sanctum.
This temple is evolved from a small place to a grand rich temple with its glory bought by famous politicians as well as Bollywood stars. It is also commonly known as Navasala Pavanara Ganapati or Navasacha Ganapati. It is believed that whenever devotees wish his/her prayer in Marathi, Lord Ganesha bestows humbly by fulfilling their wish.
Dagdusheth Ganpati (Pune, Maharashtra)
It is one of the most famous tourist of attraction in Pune and one among the richest temples in Maharashtra. This temple is famous for its installed golden idol of Lord Ganesha. This temple was given a public form during the rule of British Raj by Bal Gangadhar Tilak for celebrating festivals.
The complex where Dagdusheth Ganpati temple stands also have a old age home which was built in 2003 and even in the same building, around 100+ destitute children are being provided with housing as well as education.
Kanipakam Vinayaka Temple (Kanipakam, Andhra Pradesh)
It is one of the oldest Ganesha temples in India which is located in Chittor District of Kanipakam in Andhra Pradesh. It is around 75kms from Tirupathi. It is located about 11 km from the town of Chittor. This temple was built in 11th century by Kulothunga Chola and in 1336; it was expanded by Vinjayanagara dynasty emperors.
It is believed that Lord Ganesha swayambhu idol which stands in this temple is the truth up-holder which helps in resolving issues between two people by taking an oath. It is also believed that Lord lawns himself in front of the sinners to repent their misdeeds or even they need to take a holy dip in the tank in the temple yard.
Dodda Ganapathi (Bangalore, Karnataka)
This temple is famous for its 18 ft. high and 16 ft. width Lord Ganesh idol. It is one of the major tourist places of attraction in Karnataka. It is famously known as Nandhi Temple which is located inside the park which is the Bugle Rock. This place is regular visitor place of tourist attraction which is famously known for Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations all over India.
Shree Maha Ganapathi Temple (Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala)
It is one of the most famous Lord Ganesh temples in Kerala. Though it is located in a pilgrim centre complex with temples of Lord Murugan, Lord Shiva, Nagaraja deities, Goddess Parvati but main priority if only of Lord Ganesha. The idol of Lord Ganesha installed here is in seated posture with a folded stance of right leg. Around 32 forms of Lord Ganesha sculptures are dubbed on the rock-walls of the temple.
Karpaka Vinayakar Temple (Pillayarpatti, Tamil Nadu)
It is a rock-cut cave Lord Ganesha shrine where the idol of the lord is majestically sitting inside the cave. In this temple, the idol of Lord Ganesha is little different with a curved trunk as well as face towards the northern side. The most important festival celebrated here is the Vinayagar Chaturthi which lasts for about 10 days.

Ucchi Pillayar Koil (Trichy, Tamil Nadu)
It is situated on the top of a Rockfort rock and is famous for its rock architecture which is really awe-inspiring. This temple was built around 7th century and it is believed that the rock on which this temple stands is the only place where Lord Ganesha ran to save himself from King Vibishana.
Ashtavinayak (Pune, Maharashtra)
Ashtavinayak is a set of eight Ganesh holy ancient temples around Pune. These temples include Siddhivanayak temple, Vighnahar temple, Moreshwar temple, Mahaganapati temple, Chintamani temple, Ballaleshwar temple and Varadavinayak temple. It is significantly a trip to eight pilgrims and each of these eight Ganesha temples has its own history and legend attached to it. The idol of Lord Ganesha in every temple is different in its stature.
